Dates are confirmed for September 26, October 3, October 10, and October 17. All games are at Chelsea Piers Stamford. Team time slots within the 12:30–3:30 p.m. window and field assignments will be posted on the Schedule & Results page.
Why 5v5
Faster decisions
An eligible defender can rush immediately from the designated rush line, so quarterbacks, receivers, and defenders have to recognize the play and react quickly.
A path into competitive flag
Players interested in tournaments or higher-level flag competition get experience with the pace and style of the nationally played 5v5 game.
Useful reps for tackle players
The format creates high-quality, low-contact passing, route-running, coverage, and open-field game reps that can complement a tackle season.
Teams and game day
GPFF will form coed teams and coordinate coaches after registration. Teams stay together throughout the series, and records are kept.
Game-day experience
The series includes the staff and tools needed to make each game easy to follow and useful afterward.
Time and score everyone can see
Official game time and score will be visible without families having to ask the referee or guess from the sideline.
Optional live scoring and stats
A parent may volunteer to score a game and track passes and runs in real time. Participating is optional.
Planned game film for participating families
We plan to film games with multiple cameras and make the footage available at no additional charge to participating families. Filming is a goal for the series, not a guarantee for every game.
A jersey that fits
Each player will receive a custom-sized, custom-printed, numbered polyester jersey, available across a wide range of youth and adult sizes.
Compare jersey sizes →Independent league, national format
We are teaching the widely played national 5v5 style, but this is not an NFL FLAG program. Greenwich Premier Flag Football is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the NFL or NFL FLAG. Registration, jerseys, coaches, officials, staffing, and league operations are organized independently.
Registration
The fee is $125 per player. It helps cover four scheduled games, a jersey, officials, game staff, fields, and technology. Scholarships are available. A full refund is guaranteed for any reason until the first game begins at 12:30 p.m. ET on September 26. After that time, refund requests will be reviewed individually based on the circumstances and are not automatically granted.
Registration is open through SportsEngine.
